Columbia Academy Staff Have Begun Receiving COVID-19 Vaccines
March 1, 2021
We are excited to announce that many Columbia Academy staff members have begun receiving the COVID-19 vaccine. Our staff have been monitoring state and local vaccine sites for available appointments from the moment K-12 teachers, support staff, and child care providers in phase 1B became eligible to receive the vaccine on January 18th. To date, 67% of our staff have received at least one dose of the vaccine and have their second appointment scheduled.
As vaccine availability continues to increase in the days and weeks ahead, we will continue encouraging all staff members to get the vaccine and to monitor vaccine appointment availability to ensure access for all interested staff members.
Columbia Academy has been open for on-campus instruction since the start of the pandemic, implementing stringent safety protocols including requiring face masks for all staff and school age children, temperature checks and health screenings upon arrival, frequent hand-washing throughout the day, enhanced sanitation procedures with an increased focus on high-touch areas, cohorting of groups, and all other CDC and Health Department guidelines.
Please see our Covid-19 safety precautions for additional information or contact our Admissions team with any questions at 410-312-5233.
