Thank you for your interest in Columbia Academy Preschools and Elementary and Middle School. Since 1992 we have been teaching children to learn in a safe, welcoming environment.
Columbia Academy Preschool is a private school for children 6 weeks through Pre-Kindergarten. We currently have three Preschools located throughout Howard County with a fourth school opening in the fall of 2008 in Maple Lawn. The Academy is licensed by the Maryland State Department of Education and the State Office of Child Care Licensing and Regulation.
Columbia Academy Elementary and Middle School serves children from Kindergarten through eighth grade. The Academy’s philosophy is to provide students with educational tools and experiences that stimulate their desire to become well informed in fundamental subject matters and respectful of human values. We are dedicated to challenging the students while keeping the class sizes small to allow for the individual needs of each student. Additional instruction in athletics, the fine arts, music, computer technology and foreign language are important components of developing a well-rounded student.
